Forthcoming Trips
October 10th. 2010
Burghley House and Stamford
We will meet at 10:30 in the car park (free) where we may wander around the park (also free) which should be lovely with the autumnal colours and a large herd of deer.
Some of us may choose to visit the house or the Secret Garden and sculptures. There should be autumnal floral displays in the house.
If we grow tired of the house and grounds, Stamford is a town on the doorstep which lends itself to good photography. Also in the reasonable vicinity, should the weather not be kind to us there is the Railway and The Shuttleworth collection as alternative venues.

The 2009 Ice Sculpture Trail is unveiled the last Sunday before Christmas, and this year's theme is Norwich at play. The sculptures are created from approximately 10 tonnes of ice and are hand-carved by a team of five over 3 months in London. They are sculpted in the Samurai tradition with Japanese tools and then delivered to Norwich at minus 25C.
