Redcar steelworks used to be a photographers dream with the blast furnace lighting up the sky and huge plumes of steam and smoke emanating from the coke ovens. Unfortunately the steel works was closed recently and today it looks rather sad and forlorn, a shadow of its former self. In the foreground are the cabins belonging to local fishermen, themselves the subject of a photo-shoot. Redcar steelworks was in production for 98 years, but closed in towards the end of 2015.
