JANUARY 5th. (Monday at Sheringham)
DISTINCTIONS/EXHIBITIONS SUB GROUP
An evening for those members working towards distinctions to submit their work for discussion and selection. Any submissions for the Southport & Southampton International should be brought along to this evening.

January 9th.
DIGITAL IMAGING WORKSHOP
Members demonstrations, tips and hints, including an introduction to Easy Website DIY for photographers.
Also collecting for St. Ives Interprint 2009 competition.

January 16th.
AGM & CLUB AUCTION
Annual General Meeting of the Norfolk Photography Group followed by the Club Auction. Members bring along all sorts of items to auction (not just photographic) and the entire proceeds of the sale or a percentage can be donated to the club. Any proceeds received by the club will be utilised for the members’ benefit. Always an entertaining evening as Mike Hancock displays his auctioneering skills.

January 23rd.
PRINT COMPETITION
Two categories, the set subject is “Anything Liquid” and the second category is Open. Members can submit 2 entries for each subject. Judge: TBA
Pictures must be mounted and the preferred mount size is 40cms x 50 cms. The title should appear on the reverse of the mount with the name of the author.

JANUARY 30th.
FORUM EVENING
Member’s participation evening, this time it’s a chance for members to discuss their work, seek tips and help from other members, and provide advice on issues they have recently researched.
The mission this evening is "The Essence of Winter".

FEBRUARY 6th.
MONOCHROME PRINT EVENING
Members bring along their monochrome prints to be discussed and assessed for possible inclusion in national and international exhibitions and competitions.

February 13th.
NATURAL HISTORY LECTURE
NPG Club Member John Cucksey ARPS DPAGB presents a mixture of prints, slides and digitally projected images. John will try and cover the whole range of his natural history work and where he sees digital photography taking him in the future.

February 20th.
SPECIAL PROJECT WORKSHOP – DIGITAL AUDIO VISUAL
Members are asked to present a maximum of 10 minutes of digital AV sequences and to discuss their ideas and how they produced the sequences. Another members participation evening on a subject that has moved on from the days of “twin and dissolve” slide projectors to the more user friendly digitally produced work.

February 27th.
4-WAY DIGITAL IMAGE BATTLE
Four clubs – Norfolk PG, Ilkeston Photo 2000, March Camera Club and Nottingham Outlaws have each provided 15 images which have been collated onto a CD for judging at each club over the next few months. There is a different judge for each club’s venue and the results will be passed to the organising club (Ilkeston) for collation. The winning club and results will be announced later in 2009.
David Saunders CPAGB from Lowestoft will be judging tonight at Mundesley.

PRINT LECTURE – JOY HANCOCK FRPS MPAGB & MIKE HANCOCK DPAGB LRPS
Joy and Mike Hancock present a print lecture sponsored by Fotospeed.  A chance to see the quality and standard of work that have gained Joy and Mike the respect and status within the RPS, EAF and photographic community in general.

March 20th.
LECTURE BY GORDON FOLLOWS ARPS, MPAGB EFIAP
Gordon is a prolific natural history photographer who can also turn his hand at some pretty spectacular landscapes. He has won many distinctions and awards at national and international level. He will present his latest work and talk about the techniques and ideas that he employs to get his stunning images.

March 27 th.

Member’s participation evening, this time it’s a chance for members to discuss their work, seek tips and help from other members, and provide advice on issues they have recently researched.

APRIL 3rd.
PRINT COMPETITION
Two categories, the set subject is “Street Life” and the second category is Open. Members can submit 2 entries for each subject.
Judge: Doug Mounter from Thetford.
Pictures must be mounted and the preferred mount size is 40cms x 50 cms. The title should appear on the reverse of the mount with the name of the author.

April 17th.
PANEL OF 6
Members are required to submit a panel of 6 images on a theme – any subject. These can be in any of the following formats - Mono Prints, Colour Prints or Digital Images. Members can enter any one or all of the formats. Judging will be in house, as this is a member participation evening. Digital images should be in JPEG format and sized at 1024 ppi x 768 ppi (this measurement can be less as long as the longest side is no more than 1024 ppi).

April 24th.
DIGITAL IMAGE COMPETITION
The subject is open and members can submit up to 4 digital images in JPEG format and sized at 1024 ppi x 768 ppi (this measurement can be less as long as the longest side is no more than 1024 ppi). See guidance for successful digital projection under Hints & Tips. This will again be judged in house as this is the first time we have attempted such a competition and we need to work out the correct method of presentation so that each image is projected at the best quality resolution.

MAY 1st.
MATCH A PRINT COMPETITION
The members will be divided into teams. Each member will be asked to bring along 6 prints and the fun will be in trying to match the previous team’s image. Again a members’ participation evening which should be good fun as some of the reasoning for the matching up can be very creative!

May 8th.
