On Sunday a couple of the clubs diehards made their way to Snettisham to witness one of the spectacular shows that nature in Norfolk puts on. Arriving at the car park well in time for the high tide we made our way over to the hides.

Sunday was a very high tide with a prevailing wind off the wash which pushed even more birds off the sea and into the lagoon. Talking to the warden he said a recent count estimated there were 20,000 Knots. To my eyes there were even more Oyster catchers crowding the lagoon along with Green shank, Red shank, Avocet, Bar tailed Godwit, Shelduck and many more species.
If you want to go to see this for yourself take a look at a recent newspaper article , its well worth the effort of getting there.
