If like me you have sometimes wondered what it all means, ISO, Aperture, Shutter speed etc, then here is a guide that is written in simple terms with a no nonsense approach to cameras. I was contacted by a lady in New Zealand who had seen one of our previous blogs, strange to think that someone on the other side of the world reads Norfolk Photography Group posts. She sent me a link to the article, which breaks down all the different aspects of modern cameras giving Pro’s and Cons for each part. Whilst the article helps to clarify some of your questions it doesn’t try to sell or push any one manufacturer.
There are further reviews on the site for more in depth articles on specific items.

As you will have seen last week at the talk by Roger Hance FRPS ,one of the key elements to getting a good photograph is actually understanding what the camera is doing and how all of the factors that affect an image come together in a fine balance. It was interesting to see Rodger’s different images of a subject when he varied some of the variables, the results were obvious when he explained them. Anything that broadens our understanding is always a good thing.
Gordon Bramham MPAGB MPSA who will give us a talk based on some of his amazing wildlife experiences. Talk will start at 19:30pm on Thursday 27th September at the ACT Centre, Aylsham.
